Black Saturday Announcement
Black Saturday has revealed their first show featuring original compositions in two decades, scheduled to take place at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5.
Lineup and Special Guests
The metal legends will perform under the title “Back to the beginning,” with Ozzy Osbourne starting off with a solo act before joining his former bandmates – Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – for what is billed as their final appearance together.
“It’s time to return to the beginning… Time for me to come back to where I was born,” says Ozzy. “I’m so thrilled to do this with the people I love. Birmingham is a true metal home. Birmingham forever.”
This all-day event will feature performances from Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Siberian Ulcer, and Mastodon. A special supergroup will also include Billy Corgan, David Draiman, Duff McKagan, Frank Bello, Fred Durst, Jake E. Lee, Jonathan Davis, K.K. Downing, Lzzy Hale, Mike Bordin, Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian, Slash, Dream Theater, Papa Roach, Tom Morello, Wolfgang Van Halen, and Zakk Wylde.
Black Sabbath originated in Birmingham in 1968 and has sold over 75 million albums worldwide throughout their career. All proceeds from this event will be evenly distributed between Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospital.
Tickets will be available starting at 10:00 AM GMT on February 14 at livanation.co.uk.
