Belfast Band Chalk Unveils Their Melancholic New Single ‘Afraid’

Belfast trio Chalk has released their new single 'Frightened' through Nice Swan Records.

This track serves as the second preview of their forthcoming EP, “Conditions III”, scheduled for release on February 21st via Nice Swan Records.

About the Track

Produced by Chris Ryan (NewDad, Enola Gay, Just Mustard) and Ross Cullen, “Frightened” follows a well-received support tour with IDLES. The EP was recorded in the remote northern landscape of Iceland, completing the trilogy that marked the start of their journey.

“Afraid” encapsulates the delicate blend of fear and excitement that accompanies venturing into the unknown, a testament to the growth that comes from leaving one’s comfort zone. This sentiment reflects the resilience required to move ahead,” the band shares.

The lineup consists of Ross Cullen (vocals), Benedict Goddard (guitar, synth), and Luke Niblock (drums). They were previously honored as Best Live Act at the NI Music Awards.
