This achievement marks a historic first for a regional Mexican music video to claim the top position on Vevo’s global charts, indicating a notable shift in the landscape of international music consumption. Recently, global music companies such as ADA, Warner Music Group, and Believe have intensified their focus on regional Mexican music through new endeavors and collaborations.

Becky G's video has outperformed other major international hits, including Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' Die with a Smile, which holds second place with 298.6 million views.
Vevo DSCVR Artist to Watch 2025 secured the second position for the most viewed music videos globally, with FloyMenor and Chris MJ's Only Gata (296.4 m views), Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso (211.2 m views), and KAROL G's Antes Te Hubiera Conocido (193.7 m views).
KAROL G continues to hold the title of Vevo’s “Most Popular Artist” for the fourth consecutive year, generating 3.57 billion global views in 2024.
The Colombian artist is followed by Shakira with 2.01 billion views and Taylor Swift with 1.99 billion views. On Spotify, Swift was recognized as the most popular artist for the second straight year, accumulating over 26.6 billion streams in 2024.
Taking second place in Vevo’s most popular artists list this year was The Weekend with 1.86 billion views, followed closely by Fade with 1.7 billion views. Additionally, Ariana Grande, Maluma, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga all re-entered the top ten this year.
Additional noteworthy performances include Eminem's Houdini, which set the record for the “World’s Largest Music Video Premiere” with 56.2 million views within the first two weeks and achieved 11.6 million views in a single day, making it the highest single-day total for any music video on Vevo in 2024.
Taking the second position in the Top Global Premiere 2024 ranking was Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us with 51.1 m views, followed by The Weekend's Dancing on Fire with 44.9 m views, and Sabrina Carpenter's Taste with 44.7 m views, alongside +57 collaborations featuring KAROL G, Fade, DFZM with Ovy On The Drums, J Balvin, Maluma, Ryan Castro, and Blessed with 36.6 m views.
Vevo's year-end data, compiled from ad-supported views between November 30, 2023, and November 29, 2024, reflects a growingly diverse and globalized music landscape. The charts underscore the increasing popularity of genres such as regional Mexican, country, and hip-hop.

The US charts also experienced historic moments: Shabuzi‘s country hit Bar Song (Tipsy) became the first country music video to top the Vevo charts in the US, generating 82.9 million views.
