BANKS delves into the tumultuous depths of love in her new single “Love Is Unkind.”

Banks introduces upcoming album

BANKS teases his fifth studio album “Cut Off Her Head” with a new single “Love Is Unkind.”

Exploring emotional themes

The track arrives on ADA Worldwide, with BANKS explaining: “Love Is Unkind is about an emotionally dangerous relationship that had me going in circles. The point is that love can be unkind and masochistic. Rewind your memory and see things clearly.”

The new album, due out on February 28, will be the follow-up to last year's “Serpentina”, with BANKS noting the connection to her debut. “In many ways this is the senior Goddess album. After a decade apart, I was reunited with the core musicians and producers who helped shape my debut. At the same time, it's something completely different – I've grown as an artist and a person, and that journey is documented in all these sounds.”
