About The Release

The song signifies the start of a new era for pop stars and was released on streaming platforms via Parlophone on Friday (March 21).

Artist Insights

Commenting on the song, Ashnikko remarked: “There is nothing more effective for healing a broken heart than an inaccurate tiny little whore skirt.”

“Our bodies are intimate canvases, ready to express ourselves with trinkets, talismans, and amulets, considering beauty and self-expression as a devotion to life itself.”

This marks Ashnikko’s first release since her debut album of 2023, Weedkiller, and she recently wrapped up a prestigious supporting role for Billie Eilish during her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour in Australia.

NME gave Weedkiller a four-star review, stating: “What does it take to pivot away from the very ‘Girlboss’ anthems that established their fame? Ashnikko’s debut album Weedkiller offers a compelling answer.”

“I’ve been listening to some of the ‘Slavugovs,’ and I find myself cringing quite strongly,” Ashnikko (real name Ashton Casey) shared in a Guardian profile. “I wrote the music that people wanted to hear, and now I’m creating the music I want to hear.”

From her North Carolina roots to the artistic complexity of Weedkiller, Ashnikko advocates powerfully for feminism. More recently, she released a chilling version of “Halloween 6: Own Me” as part of the Sims 4 Life and Death extension.
