Ariana Grande’s Memory Loss
Ariana Grande revealed that she has been experiencing memory loss, stating that she is “missing a couple of years” from her early career.
In a recent episode of the Insane podcast, the pop star of “forever sunny sun” spoke alongside actor Will Arnett, discussing how some parts of her younger years remain unclear due to her busy work schedule.
“When I was younger and in the first few years as a pop star, I really struggled with boundaries and couldn’t say ‘no’ when I needed to, which led to a sense of emptiness,” Grande recalled.
She shared an example from 2016, finding it difficult to remember her appearance on the Channel 4 show Alan Carr: Chatty Man while chatting with Arnett.
“Wait, no. What strange show have we done?” Ariana asked when reminded of their joint appearance before ultimately remembering. “My God, that’s right. It came back to me.”
She elaborated: “This isn’t you. These were boundaries, remember? It was me. I miss a couple of years—I’m very serious—during that time. I literally lack several years.”
Finding Balance in Life
Grande then explained that she is now surrounded by a team that is “really protective and amazing,” ensuring she maintains a healthy work-life balance.
“I am very grateful for the balance that I found,” she added. “All this Wicked journey has been completely different for me. And this, obviously, has been immense, but it has been so beautiful and so fun.”

Her Journey Through Grief
In another recent interview, Grande attributed her 2019 album “Thank U, Next” to “saving my life” during a dark period following Mac Miller’s death and a terrorist attack at her Manchester show.
“I went through a lot of therapy and dealt with PTSD and various forms of grief, depression, and anxiety,” she recalled.
Last summer, Grande spoke about how “time and therapy” helped her reconnect with some of her old songs. “There was a time when it was hard for me to feel the same gratitude that I do now for certain songs and for music,” she mentioned.
“Because I think some of them came from a stressful time, and becoming a pop star at 19 or 20 is a bit overwhelming, so I think that experience is a little intertwined with some songs.”

At the end of last year, Grande informed her fans not to expect new music “in the near future,” stating that “acting feels like home right now.” Her label previously confirmed she would not be going on tour in 2025 amid rumors about the “Eternal Sun” tour.
In other news, Grande addressed the “puzzling” changes in her speaking voice—something fans noted after she took the lead role in Wicked.
NME gave Wicked a four-star review, stating: “(Cynthia) Erivo and Grande are both vocal powerhouses. It’s worth noting that they also share a sparkling chemistry, punctuated by Erivo’s powerful moments and Grande’s smooth comedic timing.”
“By the end, you won’t want to leave your seat, but you will definitely be captivated enough to stream the soundtrack on the way home. Funny, colorful, and full of empathy for outsiders, this film is truly Shiz.”
