While on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes earlier today (January 6), Grande revealed that the “attachment” to her 2024 record Eternal Sunshine is “really there,” although she's not sure when it will be released.

Upcoming Music Insights

When asked if she's “thinking about new music,” Grande replied, “That's not what I'm thinking about, but you know, there's something I wrote last year that will come out eventually. This is an expansion for Eternal Sunshine, so it exists and will come out someday. But no, I'm not in the studio right now.”

The Eternal Sunshine Supplement should not be confused with the Slightly Deluxe edition of the record, released last March. It consisted of four additional tracks not found on the standard album release and included a song by Troye Sivan.

Critical Reception and Further Ventures

In a four-star review of Eternal Sunshine, Nick Levine wrote for NME: “On the one hand, Eternal Sunshine is a spacious but haunting breakup album, notable for its emotional maturity. “We both know I couldn't change you – I think you could say the same” she sings on the title track. On the other hand, this is the most challenging project yet from a preternaturally talented vocalist who continues to get better. Whatever you take away from it, Eternal Sunshine is definitely not an album you'll want to erase from your memory.”

Elsewhere at the 2025 Golden Globes, Ariana Grande lost out on the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture award for her role in Wicked. Instead, Zoe Saldana won a Golden Globe for her role in Emilia Perez. Grande is set to star in the Wicked sequel Evil: For Good which is due to be released later this year.
