Ariana Grande Celebrates 10th Anniversary with New Live Performance of ‘Santa Tell Me’

Ariana Grande celebrates Christmas

Ariana Grande has unveiled a new live rendition of “Santa Tell Me,” perfectly timed for the Christmas festivities.

10 years of “Santa Tell Me”

Last night (December 23), Grande shared on Instagram a snippet of her new live performance of the track from 2014, marking not only the start of the Christmas season but also the song’s 10th anniversary.

In her post, she expressed: “Celebrating 10 years of Santa Tell Me! Thank you so much for all the love you've shown this album over the last decade. I wish everyone a happy and joyful holiday!”

Additionally, she uploaded the complete performance to YouTube, which can be viewed below. From the video, it appears that the performance was filmed during her Eternal Sunshine sessions earlier this year, where she also performed other songs to promote her latest album.

The performance follows closely after Spotify named Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” the most streamed Christmas song of the 2010s, as well as the third most popular Christmas song of all time, ranking behind Wham!’s “Last Christmas” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey.

Since the launch of Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine,” she has performed live only twice: once for Saturday Night Live and once at the 2024 Met Gala. She recently indicated that she doesn’t plan to return to music “anytime soon,” though she mentioned that “music will always be a part of my life.” For now, her focus is on her acting career as she prepares to film Evil: For Good in 2025.

In a four-star review of Wicked, Nick Levine wrote for NME: “Erivo and Grande are both outstanding vocal talents. Most importantly, they also have amazing chemistry, highlighted by Erivo’s bursts of intensity and Grande’s excellent comic timing. You won’t quite rise from your seat by the end, but you’ll definitely be captivated enough to listen to the soundtrack on the way home. Funny, colorful, and full of empathy for outsiders, this film is truly ‘Shiz.’
