Teasing Their Return

Just a few days ago, the group officially began teasing their return after mysteriously updating their biography earlier in March, sharing their new single and video for “Machines and Phones” through their Fan-club application on April 4.

But at about 9 pm yesterday (April 7), the winners of Batler and Regin Chesanya revealed a significant announcement. Having published radio communications, the duo completed the session by playing “Year of the Snake” and announcing their new album in the final moments of the mix.

“This is a victory and mode from Arcade Fire,” they stated. “Our new album is titled “Pink Elephant,” and it will be released on May 9. Stay tuned here inside the circle of trust. Take care of each other.”

They also mentioned that “Year of the Snake” would be “tomorrow, but here, in the circle of trust, today is tomorrow. Thank you for spending a little time with us – I know that time is the only thing you cannot buy, so quit your work, call your best friend. This is a season of change, and if you feel strange, it is probably good.”

Arcade Fire began their new campaign rollout when Butler performed with David Byrne and St. Vincent, covering David Bowie’s “Heroes” during the 50th anniversary celebration of Saturday Night Live.

“Pink Elephant” will be the first new album from the group since Butler faced accusations of sexual misconduct. Four individuals accused the singer of inappropriate behavior, which also resulted in Fayst leaving his tour early.

Butler addressed the accusations in a statement, expressing that he “deeply regretted anyone I offended with my behavior,” but asserted that “all these relationships were consensual.”

In other news, Arcade Fire announced their only “Funeral” 20th-anniversary show for North America at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
