New Integration for DJs
Apple Music has unveiled an innovative integration that allows its subscribers to create and mix sets directly from a catalog boasting over 100 million songs.
This new feature, titled “DJ with Apple,” connects Apple Music with various software and DJ software providers, including AlfateIN Serato, Inmusic, DJ Engine, Denon DJ, Numark, and Rane DJ. This integration creates a cohesive ecosystem for music mixing and discovery.
Enhanced Features for DJs
In addition to offering direct access to Apple Music’s extensive collection of 100 million tracks, this integration introduces a dedicated DJ page within the Apple Music category, as well as access to curated editorial playlists specifically for DJs.
The launch builds upon previous Apple Music initiatives aimed at DJs, such as the DJ Mixes program introduced in September 2021 and the Apple Music Club, which showcases curated DJs through 24/7 live Global Radio, launched in December.
Stephen Campbell, the Global Head of Dance, Electronic & DJ Mixes at Apple Music, stated: “Apple Music is committed to supporting DJs.” He added, “With this latest integration, we are deepening this commitment by seamlessly connecting Apple Music with leading software and DJ tools in the industry. This innovation enhances the creative workflow for DJs, making it easier than ever to access, play, and mix music in real time.”
This new functionality arrives just a month after Apple Music announced a special $2.99 subscription rate for the first six months.
