Details of the Awards Ceremony
This year’s awards event is set to take place at The O2 in London on Saturday, March 1st, and will be aired exclusively on ITV1 and ITVX. Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall will be returning as the host, marking his fifth appearance at the ceremony, having hosted in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.
Leading Nominations
Charli XCX tops the nominations this year, competing in five categories, including Entertainer of the Year, Pop Act, and Dance. Her collaboration with Billie Eilish, “Guess,” has also made it to the Song of the Year category, while her album “BRAT,” which inspired the BRAT Summer, is nominated for Mastercard Album of the Year.
Dua Lipa, The Last Dinner Party, and Ezra Collective follow closely, each up for four awards. Miles Smith is nominated in three categories and has already been declared the winner of the 2025 Rising Star Award, potentially earning him a total of four trophies.
Another notable mention is The Cure, who have received their first BRIT nominations in over 30 years with their acclaimed album Songs Of A Lost World, their first since 2008. Robert Smith and his bandmates have the opportunity to win in the Album of the Year, Group of the Year, and Alt/Rock Act categories.
The Beatles have also been nominated for Mastercard’s Song of the Year with their ‘final’ song ‘Now And Then.’ This single, produced by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, features contributions from all members using artificial intelligence technology to recreate prior recordings with George Harrison and John Lennon.
This nomination marks the band’s first BRIT nomination since 1977, the inaugural year of the awards.

Winners for Producer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year will be announced later.
In November, a new trophy design was revealed for the 2025 ceremony, created by Gabriel Moses, a renowned British-Nigerian multi-disciplinary artist known for collaborations with popular brands such as Skepta, Little Simz, Burberry, and more.
At The BRITs 2024, RAYE made history by winning in six of the seven categories she was nominated for, setting a record for the most awards won in a single night. Previously, no artist had won more than four BRIT awards in a year, a milestone achieved by Adele, Harry Styles, and Blur.
During one of her acceptance speeches, RAYE urged music executives to allow songwriters to receive royalties, stating, “It doesn’t have to be at your expense; it just means that if the songs are big hits, the writers will be big winners too. Please let this happen. Please, please, please.”
Other winners that night included Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, Miley Cyrus, Bring Me The Horizon, Chase & Status, Jungle, Boygenius, The Last Dinner Party, and SZA. Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Becky Hill, Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Rema, Tate McRae, and Jungle all performed at the ceremony at The O2.
