Close Enemies’ First Tour

The group was introduced by Hamilton last year and signed to TLG|ROCK. They recently kicked off a US tour following the release of their first single, ‘Sound Of A Train’, a track inspired by blues. A full-length album is reportedly in progress, but no release date or title has been announced yet.

The tour commenced on January 8th in Philadelphia and will wrap up on January 29th in St. Louis. Tickets can be purchased individually for each show, and you can find the remaining tour dates below.

Denny Sanders, CEO of TLG|ROCK, commented on the band: “My good friend Andy Gallagher from the band Overhaul sent me the music. I really enjoyed discovering who was in the group; that was just the icing on the cake. We are all thrilled to be collaborating with Close Enemies.”

Hamilton announced the formation of the band in September last year. The lineup features Hamilton, drummer Tony Brock, guitarists Peter Stroud and Trace Foster, and singer Chasen Hampton.

Brock, a founding member of the English band The Babys, has also collaborated with Elton John, Rod Stewart, and others. Foster was Hamilton’s bass player in Aerosmith, while Stroud has worked with artists like Sheryl Crow and Don Henley.

Earlier this month, Hamilton discussed the future of Aerosmith, mentioning that the members “could do something” if Steven Tyler wanted to.

This update follows Aerosmith’s announcement last year that they had concluded their touring after Tyler significantly damaged his voice during a concert.

Their final live performance was at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York back in September 2023, leaving both the band and fans unaware it would be their last.

During an interview with a Boston radio station, Hamilton expressed his hopes for the future, stating that while Tyler is progressing well in his “recovery process,” the chances of new announcements are slim.

“Steven’s recovery process is going very, very well, but it’s at its own pace,” he said. “Maybe Aerosmith will do something in the future, but that’s a big if, and the last thing I want to do is push Steven in that direction. If we do anything in the future, it will come from him.”

These remarks followed a question last summer about his optimism for a band reunion. “On the hope scale, I’m somewhere between a seven and a nine. We won’t be doing any tours right now, but I will always hope that other opportunities will arise,” he said. AARP.

“This isn’t the first time that dark clouds have gathered on our horizon – and somehow, the sun has managed to shine again. Time and hope are all we have at the moment,” he added, dismissing any hopes of a Las Vegas residency.

Aerosmith’s last live performance was part of their Peace Out tour, which began in 2023, yet they only performed three nights before rescheduling due to Tyler’s larynx injury.

After the announcement that Aerosmith would cease their tour, many notable figures expressed their sadness over the news. Queen’s Brian May remarked that the announcement “brought tears” to his eyes, while Sammy Hagar shared his lengthy history with the band members, calling the end of their touring “a huge loss.”

It was subsequently confirmed that fans could watch the band’s latest performance on YouTube in 4K quality.
