Acid Bath Announces Festival Dates
Acid Bath has revealed a series of festival dates for their reunion tour following the cancellation of Sick New World 2025.
New Tour Dates Added
The sludge metal legends have included three additional dates in their 2025 tour itinerary. They will perform at Florida’s Welcome to Rockville from May 15-18 (click here for tickets), at Inkcarceration in Mansfield, Ohio from July 18-20 (click here for tickets), and at the Louder Than Life Festival in Kentucky from September 18-21 (tickets available here).
It was previously stated that Acid Bath is scheduled to perform at Sonic Temple in Ohio from May 8th to 11th (tickets can be found here). This performance marks the band’s first show in 28 years, which was initially planned for Sick New World before its cancellation.
The rock, nu metal, and industrial festival announced its third-year lineup in October. Initially scheduled for April 12 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, more than 50 acts have been revealed, featuring Linkin Park and Metallica as headliners, along with Evanescence, Queens Of The Stone Age, Gojira, and AFI.
On November 29, organizers declared the cancellation, citing “unforeseen circumstances” and posted a statement on their Instagram: “Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of the loyal SNW fans who planned to join us for yet another cultural celebration of hard rock, goth, alternative, and heavy music. Please stay tuned for more information regarding Sick New World. Tickets purchased directly from Front Gate Tickets will be automatically refunded to the original payment method within 30 days.”
Acid Bath formed in 1991 and produced two albums: 1994’s When the Kite String Pops and 1996’s Peegan Terrorism Tactics. They disbanded in 1997 following the tragic loss of bassist Audie Pitre and his parents in a drunk driving incident.
This reunion will see the three original members return: vocalist Dax Riggs, guitarist Sammy “Pierre” Duet, and guitarist Mike Sanchez. They will be accompanied by drummer Zach Simmons and bassist Alex Bergeron. Sadly, founding keyboardist Tommy Viator passed away earlier this year.
