Mattel Honors Aaliyah with Special Barbie Doll
Mattel paid tribute to Aaliyah by launching a new Barbie doll in her honor.

The new figure was revealed yesterday (January 16) by Mattel Creations, coinciding with what would have been the late singer’s 46th birthday.
Doll Inspired by Iconic Music Video
Designed to reflect the iconic R&B musician, the doll draws inspiration from her outfit in the 1996 music video for “One In A Million.” This includes a black leather crop top, matching pants, gloves, sunglasses, and shoes.
It features the same styled black hair with a side parting. Released as part of the music series, this doll is priced at $55 (£45.13) and has quickly sold out. It was exclusively available to members of the brand known as Barbie Club 59 and launched at midnight ET (5am GMT) yesterday (January 16).
