Brits Afterparty Highlights
At the Brits AFTERPARTY last weekend (March 1), the group, nominated for the R&B ACT award at the annual musical ceremony, was present. Chi Cartier was behind the DJ booth, completing the impressive remix of “Get It While I Be Wone” from his debut album “Access All Area”.
The X/Twitter UK Rap Daily blog shared a clip of the NME 100 graduates dancing to the track, prominently featuring Cartier in his first live performance of his unpublished verse.
She rapped: “I say: ‘What is the problem?’ / Recently, you’ve become too comfortable / You have nothing to replace, and I have options / Big prize, no lies / You forgot, I made you fall like Humpty / Your attitude is worse than mine / This n****, as he received monthly.”

Rene Dauner from Flo shared another snippet of Cartier’s verse, coincidentally referencing the previous video, showcasing the last rap: “But he won’t get this until I leave / Kai, I’m the one who returned my licks.” As of now, there is no release date for this track.

Tour Postponement Announcement
The teaser emerged just before Flo announced the postponement of their UK and European tour. They explained in a lengthy statement: “At the end of our rehearsals, Rene damaged the ligaments in her knee. Despite our team’s best efforts, we simply cannot deliver the show that we aim to provide at this time and the tour you deserve.”

Flo’s debut LP, “Access All Agains,” was released back in November. In a four-star review from NME, it stated: “With ‘Access to All Areas,’ Flo showcases their talent, charisma, and star power. The nostalgia-fueled journey they’ve crafted thus far hints at an imminent breakthrough. While ‘Access to All Areas’ doesn’t necessarily signal the return of the Girl Group R&B, the momentum Flo has built over the past two years suggests that a major breakthrough is on the horizon.”
Recently, while walking the red carpet at the Brits, Flo spoke with NME about being the only Pop-R&B group in the UK and expressed a desire for more competition. “It would be great to see more R&B girl groups stepping up because we hold it down,” George Douglas told NME. “Come through girls, we need a little rivalry in this life! It’s boring to be the only girl group, and it would be much more fun with more of us. And with rivalry, we’re all about girl power, so the more women in music, the better.”
In other news, Chi Cartier was recently featured on the NME 100 list this year, which highlights up-and-coming artists poised to make an impact globally. She is also working on her debut mixtape and shared her latest single from the SN record on the YouTube Performance Platform Colorsxstudios yesterday (March 6).
