New Track Teaser from Calvin Harris
Calvin Harris has unveiled a sneak peek of his upcoming song titled “Smoke The Pain Away,” which takes inspiration from country music.
Reflective Lyrics and Performance
The Scottish DJ and producer shared a video on Instagram showcasing him performing the melody on acoustic guitar while singing the lyrics. The initial glimpse reveals Harris singing introspective lines such as: “Eyes shine, like the sun in June / grew up and wait for you / widely wakefully in a hotel room / think,” and further, “Oh what I could do,” followed by: “Too late, I was for several days / I don’t even see directly / no, I can’t smoke pain.”
This new release marks Harris’s significant return to providing vocals after several years, following his collaboration with Ellie Goulding on “Free” in 2024. Before this, he released a remix of his collaboration with Rihanna, titled “This Is What You Came For,” in November 2016, known as “Calvin Harris VIP Mix – Amazon Music Original.”
Award Recognition
Recently, Harris earned the Best Electronic Award at the 2024 MTV Europe Awards held in Manchester, triumphing over competitors like David Guetta, Delta Goodrem, and Fred Again.
