New Single Release
Sports team has unveiled their latest single 'Maybe when we are 30', accompanied by an independent music video. This track comes in anticipation of their third studio album, “Boys These Days,” set to be released on May 23 through Distiller Records/Bright Antenna.
Musical Exploration
The new single delves into scattering themes, showcasing a different aspect of the group’s sound by blending elements reminiscent of cellulose and national influences. The track was produced by Matias Teleosis, who is recognized for his work with artists like Girl In Red, CMAT, and Gracie Abrams.
“This is a song for Brooklyn Beckham,” explains Rob Knaggs. “When you start in the group, you feel like Slurms Mackenzie (the Futurama Party Slug). You can’t believe your job is to travel the world, enjoy a few beers, and create music with your friends. Then one day you look around, and all your friends are getting married, and you begin to wonder if all you really want is to grow old, adopt a dog, write humorous posts about Brooklyn Beckham on Facebook, take cruises, and engage in minor disputes with your neighbors about recycling cardboard.”
Album Insights
“Boys These Days,” which follows their three previous successful albums “Deep Down Happy” and “Gulp!”, was recorded in Bergen, Norway. This album addresses the perpetual cycle of modern life and social media, which the band refers to as “The Churn.”
