Green Day took a jab at the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, during a recent concert in Australia.

During their Melbourne concert on March 1, the band addressed JD Vance, who is currently accompanying President Donald Trump on a business trip. As part of the show, the group performed their classic albums “Dookie” and “American Idiot” in their entirety.

In a segment from the “American Idiot” set, lead vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong referenced the Donald Trump administration during the title track, altering the lyrics from “I am not part of the agenda of Redneck” to “I am not part of the agenda of the magician.” This lyrical change has been a recurring theme since late 2023.

However, the March 1 concert in Melbourne saw a fresh lyrical twist directed specifically at JD Vance. During the performance of “Jesus of Suburbia,” Green Day changed the lyrics from “I’m backward or I’m just glad?” to “I’m backward or I’m just J.D. Vance?
