Chappell Roan has announced that “The Giver” is set to release on March 13. She confirmed the song is a country track that she wrote with Dan Nigro. On Instagram, she expressed: “We have never done a country song, and I hold a special place in my heart for country music. I grew up listening to it every morning on my school bus, and it surrounded me at bonfires, grocery stores, and karaoke bars.”
