The Ghost Teases New Frontman
The ghost has shared another teaser featuring his “new” frontman, Papa V Perpetua, alongside an advertising billboard in Las Vegas – see the image below.

The Evolution of The Ghost
The Swedish occult metal band is led by Tobias Fordge, who has introduced a variety of characters since the group’s inception, with a new persona accompanying each tour cycle.
The most recent character was Honored Pope IV, who guided the group during their Impera album release in 2022 and throughout the IMPERTOUR tour, concluding in October 2023.
Last month, when Black Sabbath announced the complete lineup for their final show at Villa Park, Birmingham, on July 5, the name “Papa V Perpetua” appeared among the associated acts.
Shortly after this announcement, Ghost took to their official Facebook page to share the news: “(message from the clergy), we want to tell you that it will be ………… In Birmingham July 5.”
Currently, an advertising billboard in Las Vegas displays the band’s logo and the phrase “V is …”. Additionally, a YouTube livestream channel titled “Fumatacast”, which includes Billboard updates, has been launched. Check them out below.

Discussing the ghost’s narrative with NME, Alex Ross Perry, who filmed the band for The ceremony here is now the rite –, stated: “A ghost as a group is akin to a planet, while history resembles the moon. The moon is not part of the planet, but it orbits it. Songs and their meanings are thematically related to what the ghost is pursuing, yet they do not construct a rock opera about familial dynamics. For fans, it feels like enjoying two dishes instead of one.”
The frontman, Tobias Fordge, added: “The family we refer to is merely a manifestation of a common phenomenon in humanity’s struggle for existence. The fear of death is a universal theme.”
