Ting Tings have revealed the details of their upcoming album titled Home. Check out the information below, along with the host of their single “Good People Do Bad Things.”

Album Details

Announced today (February 28), this forthcoming record marks their first new LP in six years, following Black Light, released in 2018, and the reimagined Manchester version from the following year.

Set for release on June 6, this duo, comprised of Jules de Martino and Katie White, drew inspiration from the sun-drenched coast of the 70s. This is reflected in the harmonious sounds and arrangements reminiscent of the era, alongside influences from Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Joni Mitchell, and the Eagles.

The first teaser from the album has arrived today, featuring the lead single, “Good People Do Bad Things.” The track delves into themes of guilt, forgiveness, and the darker sides we all carry within ourselves. Check it out below.

The album’s tracklist is expected to embody the same charm and characteristics as the lead single, instilling a profound sense of confidence.

“After continuously moving through various locations, including Great Britain, Los Angeles, and Berlin, de Martino and White have found a home in Ibiza, where they have resided for several years,” the new description states.

“Following the birth of their daughter during the pandemic, they sought solace in the fundamental musical comforts of their childhood. As a duo that always writes and produces independently, they found themselves in their home studio, contemplating a simple question: In this new world filled with uncertainty, what felt good? The songs that emerged formed the new album, Home.

Indie pop duo Ting Tings topped the British charts with their debut hit, “That’s Not My Name,” released in 2008. The song quickly went viral and has sold over a million copies to date.

In 2022, the track gained popularity again, this time on TikTok, where it was featured in videos by various creators, including Drew Barrymore.

Although their last album was released over six years ago, the duo released a standalone single last spring titled “Dance on the Wire,” which showcased a country sound.
