Evan Stanley And Nick Simmons Collaborate
Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons, the sons of Kiss’s Paul Stanley and Jin Simmons, have recorded 10 songs together.
Instagram Reveals New Music
The duo recently shared photos with fans on Instagram, showcasing themselves next to sound recording equipment as they worked on unreleased material. Evan Stanley posted on his account last Saturday (February 22), stating: “One song turned into 10 very quickly.”
In another post, Evan and Nick performed an original track featuring guitarist Jacob Banton, which Paul Stanley praised as “Magic!!!” Nick’s sister, Sophie, humorously commented, “We want an album.” Although Theleton also mentioned a duet, it remains unclear if an official album will come to fruition.
This isn’t the first time the pair combined their talents. Back in December, they shared an acoustic cover of “Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel, prompting a compliment from the elder Simmons, who called their performance “amazing.”
Simmons Addresses Film Criticism
Meanwhile, Simmons recently addressed criticism regarding his role in the biographical film about Ronald Reagan. The bassist and singer recorded a cover of Harold Arlen’s standard “Stormy Weather,” which was part of the film directed by Sean McNamara and released in the USA last August.
The movie, featuring Dennis Quaid as the former president and other notable actors, received mostly negative reviews. Last year, Simmons responded to discussions about his role during an appearance on O’Reilly’s show No Spin News. He stated, “How can I say this is the best possible? I do not give a squat.”
In other news, Kiss recently paid tribute to their late collaborator Karl Cochran by sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram: “Our dear friend Karl Cochran was tragically killed in a car accident on February 19.”
“Karl was a vocalist and extraordinary guitarist who faced incredible challenges but never stopped fighting for a comeback. Our fans loved him around the globe, thanks to his appearances and his role as a constant inspiration during our Kiss Kruises. Our deepest condolences to Jerry and his family.”
