Fibi Green Unveils Heartfelt New Single “The Anger of a Child”

Fibi Green’s New EP

Fibi Green has unveiled a sneak peek of her upcoming EP “The Container,” set for release on March 21 through The Green Dream Machine. The EP features a new single titled “Rage of the Kid.”

Exploring Deep Emotions

Comprising five tracks, the EP was conceived in her Manchester apartment and her parents’ home in Lytham St. Anne. It delves into themes of emotional connections, longing, obsession, and the delicate balance between love and self-sacrifice.

“I named the EP ‘Container’ due to the physical sense of trying to hold back or suppress certain feelings,” Green explains. “I endeavored to contain some experiences from my adolescence and the inconvenient emotions they triggered. However, the longer I suppressed them, the more they consumed me, until by my early twenties, it became unbearable, leading me to finally let them out.”

Confronting Inner Turmoil

Discussing “Rage of the Kid,” Green states: “The ‘rage of a child’ captures the discomfort in my own healing process and the struggle to overcome past traumas. I spent too long suppressing anger and other complex emotions to stay afloat. Reflecting on it now, I realize I wasted precious years attempting to evade my feelings. Eventually, it became nearly impossible to access them, and when I did, I directed that anger inward, feeling guilt for experiencing what I had long deemed ‘cruel’ emotions.”

This EP includes previously released singles “What You Are Doing” and “Precious Things,” with Green collaborating alongside producer and mixer Rick Levy to finalize the project.
