Announcement of New EP
Wish has revealed plans for a new EP comprising six tracks titled “Planet Popstar.” The release is scheduled for April 25 via WinSpear. Additionally, the group has unveiled a new single, 'Fly', along with videos featuring clips from their 2024 tours.
EP Details and Concept
This EP contains B-side tracks recorded during the sessions for their debut album, “Triple Seven.” It will be available as a double EP vinyl set, combined with their debut EP, “Paradise,” which has never been released physically. The combined release is entitled “Paradise on the Planet Popstar.”
“We really wanted to embrace a loud production style and have a great time in the studio, using these songs as an opportunity to explore a more polished, powerful feeling aimed at adults,” says Singer/Guitarist Kevin Krauter.
Insight on New Track
Regarding the song “Summer,” Nina Pitkitts explains: “This track captures a general theme of enjoying the present, embracing love, and not taking oneself too seriously. Kevin, Steve Marino, and I wrote this song around the same time we created the track ‘Triple Seven.’ Steve brought several ideas to us during that period.”
