Mold Unveils New EP Titled “Almost Seems to Be the Goal”

New EP Announcement

Mold has announced the release of its second EP titled “Almost It Seems That the Target,” which is set to launch on April 24 through 5DB Records. The Bristol trio also shared their new single, “Snails.”

About the New Track

The EP was recorded last summer at Bristol’s Humm Studios and follows the Autumn single “Pieces.” The new song features frontman Joe Sherrin drawing inspiration from Dave Berman and Nick Cave, with lyrics that personify feelings of dissatisfaction.

“Snails” tells the story of a large, friendly snail that munches on gardens, welcomed by all—until it inadvertently chews on the Lord’s garden, leading to its death sentence. Will the city unite to save it? Stay tuned for the answer…

“This is probably my favorite track from the new EP. It boasts a catchy, poppy chorus that resonated with me immediately while recording at Humm Studios. Initially, I thought I was singing ‘Feed me with mayonnaise’ in the verse. Just to clarify, this is not a song about mayonnaise; it’s about snails.”
