This Summer, the Mass Attack Will Headline the Lido Festival in London

Mass Attack To Headline Festival

The mass attack is going to head the Lido festival in London Park Victoria on June 6, marking their first London festival in nine years.

Innovative Performances and Sustainability

Bristol Group will perform at the New Festival event alongside Air, Yasiin Bey, Alchemist Harminalism, and Tyrza. This performance continues the massive efforts of ATTACK with an initiative of 1.5 for the decarbonization of events, collaborating with Ecotricity to produce a show powered exclusively by batteries, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and local air pollution.

Robert del Naja (3D) states: “The presentation of the first festival in London, powered 100% by batteries with a dynamic lineup of artists, is the best outcome for us. History shows that often a combination of art and science can address the significant challenges we face, so it’s encouraging to see how Lido leverages knowledge from our Act1.5 event last year and applies these technologies to reduce emissions. Pure productions, starting from this initiative, are promising for everyone, especially for music fans attending festivals and local communities surrounding them.”

Yasiin Bey and Alchemist express their views on the concept of forensics: “Forensic examination goes beyond just being the title of an album; it epitomizes a new approach to delivering art that merges musical content with fashion, visual arts, technology, and community. This approach fosters an intimate connection with the audience, providing an experience that resonates on multiple levels.”

Jim King, the general director of European festivals at AEG Presents, adds: “Significant changes necessitate both courage and determination, and I cannot emphasize enough the tremendous effort by Massive Attack and their team in pioneering this crucial initiative. AEG was fortunate to collaborate with Massive Attack on the Act 1.5 event in Bristol last summer, which set the standard and motivated our team to further the work they initiated at Lido. Massive Attack has illustrated the best pathway forward for both our planet and our industry.”
