The duo, both key members of Seventeen, has unveiled a logo trailer and a conceptual teaser leading up to the release. The teaser showcases a striking black and white aesthetic, featuring elements of light and shadow, culminating in a sequence that includes printed logos and important release information.
Exploring Themes of Self-Love
“Ray” delves into themes of light as a metaphor for self-love and originality, drawing from the shared journeys of Hoshi and Woozi from their trainee days to their current status. This collaboration signifies a significant partnership between the two group leaders, with Hoshi at the helm of the Performance unit and Woozi leading the vocal unit as the group’s main producer.
This cooperation builds upon their previous work together on “Bringing It,” a track from the B-side of Seventeen’s second studio album, “Teen, Age.” They continue the “tradition of Seventeen divisions” following the BSS “Teleparty” and Jeonghan and Wonwoo’s “This Man.”
Pre-orders for the “beam” album begin on February 18.
