Reduced has unveiled their latest single 'Collider', which will feature in their forthcoming debut album 'Given the 2nd of May.
Exploring Cult Narratives
In this latest track, The Brighton Rock Outfit showcases vocalist Katie Oldham, who presents a narrative steeped in fiction regarding a cult and its connections to psychedelics. “I developed a fresh storyline for this piece, reflecting the psychological essence of the melody,” Oldham shares. “The lyrics narrate the cult’s relationship with their deity, referred to as the ‘ritual prophet,’ through their interactions facilitated by psychedelics.”
Originally, the track was crafted by bassist Vlad Matvikov alongside Zach Jackson from El Moono. “I preserved most of Zak’s melodies, as I have a deep appreciation for simplicity and elongated syllables,” Oldham adds.
