Ezra Collective Teams Up with Sasha Kable for Latin-Inspired Single “Language”

Ezra Collective Unveils New Single

Ezra Collective has released their first track of 2025, teaming up with British Kolmbi singer-songwriter Sasha Kibble for the new single “Language.”

Celebrating Latin American Culture

This track incorporates elements of Cumbia music and pays homage to Latin American culture. It follows a successful 2024 for the modern jazz group, which saw their third album, “Dance, No No Watch,” reach the top 10 of the official British albums chart. The group also delivered their largest performance to date at the London Ovo Wembley Arena.

“Body language” serves as a tribute to the Latin American communities in London that inspire us profoundly,” shared Ezra Collective. “Collaborating with a friend who has been part of the EZ family for many years, ‘Body language’ embodies the joy of dancing, and this song is a celebration of that spirit.”

Kibble expressed: “I am thrilled to come full circle with the boys on this collaboration after a tour many years ago. The timing couldn’t be better, especially as we prepare to road test ‘Body language’ in Latin America, my homeland. This record holds a special place in my heart on many levels.”

The five-member collective, which includes drummer Femi Koleoo, bassist TJ Koleoo, keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones, trumpeter Ifundzhobi, and saxophonist James Mollison, has received four Brit Awards nominations for 2025, including Album of the Year, Group of the Year, Best New Artist, and Alternative/Rock Act.

“Our nominations for the Brit Awards in 2025 celebrate a 12-year journey, starting from playing in pubs for our friends and family to achieving many special milestones along the way,” the group stated. “We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received at every stage of our journey.”
