Sabrina Carpenter Joins SNL Sketch as Domingo’s Character Makes a Musical Comeback

Sabrina Carpenter’s Saturday Night Live Appearance

Sabrina Carpenter made a memorable appearance in the final sketch of Saturday Night Live, featuring the recurring character Domingo, as well as her performance during the 50th anniversary special of SNL.

Highlights of the Show

The singer kicked off the show by performing “Homeward Bound” alongside Paul Simon, later taking part in a wedding sketch during the broadcast. Carpenter portrayed Sophie, a character who had missed the original wedding due to being “in prison,” attending the renewal ceremony for Kelsey (Chloe Feneman) and Matta (Andrew Dysmux).

The sketch began with Martin Short and Molly Shannon playing the bride’s parents and included musical parodies of Taylor Swift’s “You Belong with Me” and a humorous take on “Ignore Gravity.” Shannon’s character declared to the newlyweds: “Kelsi and Matt, may you have a marriage as loving and passionate as Dad and I.”
