Lady Gaga Joins Andy Samberg at SNL 50
Lady Gaga and Andy Samberg graced the stage during the Lonely Island SNL 50: Homecoming concert.
Performance Highlights
The event, held on February 14, saw Gaga team up with the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star for a medley of classic Lonely Island tracks. They began with an attempt at “I’m On A Boat,” which was humorously interrupted by Gaga, who noted they were trying to perform something “more in (his) vocal range.”
They then launched into the iconic “Dick in a Box,” originally performed by Samberg and Justin Timberlake during the 2006 SNL episode. Subsequently, they were joined by Bad Bunny, T-Pain, Chris Parnell, Eddie Vedder, and former Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone for a mashup that included “Motherlover,” “Lazy Sunday,” “I’m on a Boat,” “Jack Sparrow,” and “A Night in My Pants.”
“Andy, don’t be a b*tch. I will do this with you,” Gaga playfully remarked when Samberg expressed doubts about Timberlake’s absence.
A Star-Studded Celebration
The concert, celebrating SNL’s 50th anniversary, was organized by Jimmy Fallon, with Lorne Michaels and Mark Ronson serving as executive producers. Notable performances included the surviving members of Nirvana alongside Post Malone and Miley Cyrus singing “Flowers.”
