Cheryl Crowe Protests Against Elon Musk
Cheryl Crowe sold her Tesla car in protest against the company’s general director, Elon Musk, stating: “You must decide with whom you are ready to correspond.”
On Friday (February 14), the country star shared a video on Instagram showcasing the moment her car was towed from her home as she waved goodbye.
“My parents always said … you are hanging out with,” she expressed. “There is a time when you need to decide with whom you are ready to join. So long, Tesla.”
Elon Musk’s Controversial Comments
She further explained that she transferred funds to the NPR, which she noted was “under threat” from the entrepreneur she referred to as the “President of Musk.” She expressed hope that NPR will continue to ensure that “the truth will find its way to those who wish to know it.”
Since Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, Musk has been the leader of the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), advocating for the NPR – National Public Radio – which he believes should operate without government support. “Defund NPR. It must survive on its own,” he tweeted on February 4.

Musk stirred controversy during an inauguration event when he struck his chest with his right hand and gestured upward at a diagonal, which some perceived as reminiscent of a Nazi salute. Musk dismissed the criticism as “dirty tricks” and described the attacks against him as “sooo tired.”
