Kella’s New Album Release
Kella has unveiled “In Blue Light,” a refreshed album featuring reimagined versions of tracks from her entire discography.
Album Details and Background
This collection consists of 12 tracks, originating from a two-day residency at Blue Note in May 2024. The album showcases jazz and acoustic renditions of material from her earlier releases, including “Cut 4 ME,” “Hallucinogen,” “Entertain Me,” and “Raven.”
Accompanying the album will be a documentary that chronicles the residency and recording process, scheduled for release on February 18.
This release follows Kella’s 2023 album “Raven” and its companion remix album “Rave: N,” which came out in early 2024. During this time, she made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, recorded an NPR Tiny Desk concert, and completed several titles.
