Whose Child Releases New Single “Irish Goodbye” Ahead of Upcoming Second Album

New Single Release

Someone’s child has unveiled their latest single “Irish Goodbye,” the third track set to be featured on their forthcoming second album, “When Youth Fades Away.”

Background of the Album

This new single follows the previously released tracks “Time of My Life” and “Last Night I Held Your Hand” from the Dublin-based group’s upcoming album, which will be distributed by Frenchkiss Records.

About “Irish Goodbye”

The track “Irish Goodbye,” named after the act of leaving social gatherings without drawing attention, delves into themes of youth and the transition into adulthood. It reflects on the regrets associated with such transitions, conveyed from the perspective of an adult addressing their younger self.

Sian Godfri, the vocalist and songwriter, articulates, “’Irish Goodbye’ serves as a breath of fresh air within the album, representing the thematic essence of what I consider to be the album’s ‘Best Album’ lyrically. It underscores the fleeting nature of time and, in some sense, mirrors the unnoticed departures of young individuals as they navigate life changes.”
