Historic Performance
Kendrick Lamar’s Lix Lix Lix achieved a record-breaking moment, drawing in 133.5 million viewers for his performance on Apple Music.
Audience Numbers Surpass Expectations
The audience figures released by ROC Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL surpassed the actual game’s attendance, which averaged 126 million spectators. This dazzling performance outshone Michael Jackson’s 1993 show, which had 133.4 million viewers, and last year’s headline performance by Asher, who attracted 123.4 million viewers.
Lamar made history as the first solo rapper to captivate audiences during the Super Bowl halftime show. His set featured songs from his 2024 album GNX, including “Scabble Up,” “Peekaboo,” and “Luther,” the last performed alongside special guest SZA. The lineup also included his track “Not Like Us,” with additional appearances by Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, and Mustard.
The performance coincided with the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, with a final score of 40-22. Lamar and SZA are gearing up for their grand national tour, with shows scheduled across Great Britain and Europe in July.
