The 2005 album “Plans”, marked Death Cab for Cutie’s significant breakthrough, achieved platinum status and earned the band their first Grammy nominations.

Just last year, the group commemorated the 20th anniversary of their 2003 album “Transatlanticism,” which coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Postal Service – both bands fronted by Ben Gibbard.

To celebrate this notable anniversary, Death Cab performed at the All Points East Festival in London and scheduled dates in Cardiff, Glasgow, and other parts of Europe, followed by a tour in the United States. Since then, the Postal Service has been on an indefinite hiatus.

Later this year, Death Cab for Cutie will be supporting My Chemical Romance on the Long Live The Black Parade tour.
