Lucy Dacus Announces New Single and Upcoming Tour
Lucy Dacus shared the new single “Best Guess” and announced her British and European tour at the end of this year. Listen in for all the details below.
New Music Details
This track is the third preview from her fourth solo album titled “Forever Is Sense,” which is set to release on March 28 through Polydor/Geffen (Pre-order here).
Over a delicate, romantic melody, Dacus sings: “Building your necklace / fastening the dress / hands on the waist / kisses your neck / I love your body / I love your mind / they will change / just mine.”
In a duet with her partner, she communicates their mutual belonging, adding: “You are my best assumption / in the future / You are my best assumption / if I were a gambling person, and I / you would be my best choice.”
Described as “Dacus’ unique take,” “Best Guess” is a song about love that serves as an anthem of tender vulnerability, capturing the blend of excitement and uncertainty when two people take risks with each other.
The single is accompanied by a captivating official music video featuring Cara Delevingne, produced by Berd, Naomi MacPherson, and more. Reflecting the song’s themes, the visuals showcase Dacus and her friends gathered around a casino table.
The video also includes a cast from “hot masses” that Dacus recruited through an open casting call on social media last month, channeling a Calvin Klein aesthetic from the 90s.
Earlier, Dacus debuted “Best Guess” during a Julien Baker concert in Brooklyn last fall. Watch the “Best Guess” video here:

In her previous statement regarding the album, Dacus expressed: “I was overwhelmed with emotions. Falling in love, loving. One must destroy things to create things, and I dismantled a really beautiful life. You can’t truly capture forever. Yet, I believe we feel eternity in moments. I’m unsure how much time I’ve spent in forever, but I know what I’ve experienced.”
