Sim! Sims has been used to recreate songs by artists such as Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Lily Allen, and Mxmtoon. To commemorate 25 years since the original Life Simulator game was released, the developers invited Kim Petras and Gigi Peres to reinterpret two of their biggest hits.

Smachnik’s remix of Petras’ “Malibu” was added to Sims 4 back in 2020.
In honor of Sims’ 25th anniversary, EA showcased the first two games on PC and hosted a massive 25-hour live stream featuring a chaotic appearance from Doja Cat.
“I’ve played Sims since I was nine years old, and I’ve played (all of them), even the future ones,” Doja shared during the stream, where she created 25 Goths and set the kitchen on fire.
“This game is more than just filling houses with stoves and torturing people. It’s much more. You can create your own scenarios, characters, experiences, and take it wherever you want to go,” she added. “Do your thing, because that’s what I do.”
Last year, the band, The Last Party, performed their single “Nothing” in Simlish during their concert in Dublin.
EA also revealed that the next installment in the long-running franchise will not be a direct sequel to 2014’s Sims 4. “Historically, the Sims franchise began with Sims 1 and continued with Sims 2, 3, and 4, seen as replacements for the previous titles. We’re not looking to replace past projects anymore; We’re simply adding to our universe,” emphasized Sims CEO Kate Gorman.
In other news, it appears that Hogwarts Legacy fans can anticipate an extension before the next sequel.
