Details of the Ceremony
A press release from The Brits has been issued, confirming that “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please” will grace the ceremony on Saturday, March 1, at the O2 in London, which will be broadcast exclusively on ITV1 and ITVX.
Not only will she be in attendance, but Carpenter will also take the stage for a performance; however, specifics about her act remain under wraps.
Additionally, Carpenter will receive the prestigious “Global Success” award at this year’s ceremony, joining an elite group of past winners that includes One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Sam Smith.
Acknowledgments and Expectations
Speaking on Carpenter’s achievement, Damian Christian, Chairman of the Brit Awards Committee for 2025, stated: “Congratulations to Sabrina on winning this prestigious award. Everyone involved in the show is eagerly anticipating her performance, which is set to be a highlight of the evening.”
Carpenter is the last act to be announced for the event. Earlier last month, performers such as Jade, Shabuzi, Teddy Plaims, The Last Party, and Miles Smith were confirmed for the ceremony.
More acts are anticipated to be announced ahead of the award ceremony. Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall has been confirmed as the returning host, marking his fifth time presenting the ceremony since 2018.
This year, Charlie XCX leads the nominations with five nods, including Artist of the Year, Pop Act, and Dance Act. Her collaboration with Billie Eilish on “Guess” is also nominated for Song of the Year, while her album “Brat” is being considered in the Mastercard album shortlist.
The Cure has received its first Brit nominations in over three decades for their album “Songs of Lost World,” competing for Album of the Year, Group of the Year, and Alt/Rock Act. Voting for the five main categories at the Brit Awards 2025 is open until 23:59 on Friday, February 14, with voters able to cast their votes once a day in each category. The categories available for voting are Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Hip-Hop/Rap Act, Pop Act, and R&B Act.
In November, the new trophy design was unveiled ahead of the 2025 ceremony. It was created by Gabriel Moses, a renowned British-Nigerian interdisciplinary artist who has collaborated with artists like Skepta, Little Simz, and Burberry over the years.
