Trump’s Reaction to Taylor Swift
Donald Trump trolled Taylor Swift after she was booed during the 2025 Super Bowl.
Fans were aware that the pop star would be attending the game to support Travis Kelce, following an interview with the athlete’s brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, in which he mentioned that “obviously our whole family” would be there.
After the “Cruel Summer” singer appeared on the Jumbotron at the event, the crowd erupted in boos, and she was seen bewildered, asking, “What is happening?”
While some fans on social media reflected tactfully on the incident, landing on the topic of “Taylor Swift’s stature,” the president gloated, saying: “The world heals!”
Controversial Comments and Reactions
On February 9, Trump became the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl in person, and he garnered a favorable reception from the crowd. After the event, he posted on his social platform “Truth,” sharing a Libs TikTok account that remarked: “Trump receives huge cheers at the Super Bowl, while Taylor Swift gets booed.”
His jab at Swift follows his earlier admission that he “hates” her. Last year, he took to his social account to post a blunt update: “I hate Taylor Swift.”
This remark came after Swift broke her silence regarding the US elections last September, following the first debate between Kamala Harris and Trump. In a post shared with her 284 million Instagram followers, she withdrew her support for Harris, calling her a “sustainable, gifted leader,” and asserting that “we can achieve much more in this country if we are led by calm, not chaos.” She ended her post with a remark alluding to a comment made by J. D. Vance, Trump’s Vice Presidential candidate in 2021, dubbing herself the “childless cat lady.”

While Trump faced ridicule for the situation, Serena Williams, who performed with Kendrick Lamar during the halftime show, showed her support for Swift on social media, writing: “I love you @taylorswift 13, don’t listen to these bullies!”
Lamar also made history at the event as the first solo rapper to perform during the Super Bowl halftime show, supported by several special guests including SZA and Samuel L. Jackson.
