Groundbreaking Moment for Kendrick Lamar

Today (February 10), Lamar took the stage at the SuperDome in New Orleans for the Super Bowl show, making history as the first solo rapper to achieve this great honor.

While he had previously confirmed that SZA would join him, Kendrick also surprised fans with notable guests, including Samuel L. Jackson, who performed as Uncle Sam, and Serena Williams, who made a stunning dance appearance.

Lamar kicked off his set with a powerful verse before diving into tracks like “quarrels,” “modesty,” “DNA,” and “euphoria.”

Throughout the performance, Kendrick threw shade at Drake, even poking fun at a universally notable music group while promoting “not like us.” Hinting at legal issues, Kendrick joked, “I want to play their favorite song, but you know that they like to sue.” Nevertheless, he eventually performed “not like us,” after SZA joined him for “Luther” and “All Stars.”

To wrap up the set, producer-DJ Mustard joined Kendrick for “TV OFF.”

In other recent news, Lamar won five awards at the Grammys 2025, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for his Drake diss track, “Not the Same as We Are.” Drake has since responded, saying, “I’ve had enough of this shit.”
