Alesso: “Experiencing Ear Noise Made Me Realize I Needed to Slow Down”

Aleso Discusses Health Challenges

Aleso spoke about suffering from the noise in his ears, saying that he considered it “a sign for slowdown.”

The Swedish DJ and producer, whose real name is Alessandro Lindblad, shared a video on Instagram yesterday (February 4) where he explained his absence from social media and the recent cancellation of his show.

“I just wanted to be a little transparent about the situation,” he said.

Personal Experience with Tinnitus

“In general, two months ago I woke up with an extremely loud ringing in my ears. I’m talking about 10 out of 10. I was in complete shock. And it was not after a show; I just woke up, and it was incredibly intense.”

He noted that although he had experienced some “problems” and mild noise in his ears before, it was “nothing like that.”

“I know that this is very common in the music industry, but yes, it was very, very difficult for me to cope with this,” Aleso continued. “But the good news is that I am recovering.”

He added: “I took it as a sign to slow down, to prioritize my health, and to be more careful. I have been doing this for 14 years without taking breaks, so I just focused on this.”
