Waxahatchee has released a new bright track called “MUD”, which is the way out of its last Tigers Blood album.
About the New Track “MUD”:
“MUD” supports the Waxahatchee signature (real name Katy Krutchfield). This is a bright melody, fed by air guitars against American Sonics, gathered along with the bandjo-strings and a stable, but memorable blow.
Sharing the song on social networks, the musician wrote: “The new song “MUD” has come out now ✨ A way out of the original tuberculosis session!”

Her last Tigers Blood album was released in March 2024. It was nominated for the Best Americana album in the 2025 Grammy, and the victory ultimately went to Sierra Ferrell.
In the five-star review of its sixth studio LP ‘Tigers Blood’, NME wrote: “These songs are offered by more adult and reasonable prospects than such as ‘Lonely Lake Lonely Star’ and ‘Evil Spawn’; They are about a person who feels at home, and not the one who makes your blood pump. This is a good counterweight that is felt by the symbol of the ‘blood of the tigers’ – this is a hot fire, and this is a warm summer evening.”
“Tiger Blood” also landed in 35th place on NME 50 of the best albums of 2024. Waxahatchee will also play Primavera Sound in Barcelona on June 6, and then Primavera Porto in Portugal on June 13.
