Hinterland Festival in the U.S. Provides Compensation for Extreme Heat Days

Hinterland Festival’s Ticket Reimbursement Plan

The Hinterland festival has announced a reimbursement policy for ticket holders if temperatures soar to extreme levels.

The event will implement a 90-degree warranty for 2025, allowing festival-goers to request refunds for their tickets if the temperature is forecasted to reach 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius) during any of the festival days.

Addressing Last Year’s Concerns

Last year, the festival faced criticism when attendees reported a shortage of drinking water. During the height of summer, temperatures in Iowa often exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius).

The organizers stated, “As global temperatures continue to rise each year, we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our visitors.”

“For the internal areas of 2025, we offer a 90-degree guarantee. If the weather reaches 90 degrees or higher for any of the three days, you may request a refund for each day that meets the forecast.”

The Hinterland festival will occur from August 1 to 3 in Saint-Charles, Iowa, featuring headliners such as Tyler, The Creator, Lana Del Rey, and Casey Musgraves, along with performances from Clairo, Bowkens, Remi Wolf, Royal Otis, and Whitt Flores.

“Refund requests are only available for the days when the forecast is 90 degrees or higher. Three-day ticket holders can request a refund for specific days at a rate of 1/3 of the total price of their three-day pass.”

Last year’s lineup included performances from Vampires, Ethel Cain, Noah Kahan, and Khozier. Kahan was spotted enjoying Chappella Roan’s set from the side of the stage, stating, “I can be a headliner, but I’m really here for Chappella Roan.”
