The non-profit living event occurred at the KIA Forum last night (January 30) and was initially announced earlier this month to provide financial aid to the victims of the devastating forest fires in Los Angeles.

Concert Highlights

Joining the lineup for the concert, which featured stars like Lady Gaga, Rod Stewart, Katy Perry, Joni Mitchell, and others, were the Red Hot Peppers themselves. They delivered a mix of their biggest hits.

For their segment, Anthony Kiedis and Co. were introduced on stage by Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks and launched into their set with the well-chosen classic “Dani California” from 2006.

They transitioned seamlessly into another song inspired by the Golden State, performing their iconic track “Californication,” which was featured on their 1999 album and remains one of their greatest hits.

Other classic tracks from their earlier discography were included, such as “Under the Bridge” and “Blood Sugar Sex Magik,” along with newer additions like “Black Summer,” from their 2022 album, *Unlimited Love*, marking the much-anticipated return of longtime guitarist John Frusciante.

Actor Billy Crystal organized the event and wore the attire he had on when he evacuated from Pacific Palisades earlier this month.

In a standout moment, surviving members of Nirvana made a surprise appearance, joined by St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, Joan Jett, and Dave Grohl on vocals. Their set included Nirvana tracks like “Breed,” “School,” “Territorial Pissings,” and “All Apologies.”

Additionally, Billie Eilish and Green Day teamed up for a spirited rendition of “Last Night on Earth,” marking their first performance since returning to Coachella in 2024.

Other performances that night included Sting, Stevie Nicks, Gracie Abrams, Olivia Rodrigo, and Peso Pluma, with U2 contributing a significant $1 million (804,829 pounds).
