Boardmasters claims to be “the only place where you can experience both the biggest names in music and the top level of international professional surfing at two amazing locations on the Cornish coast.”

This marks the first Boardmasters festival since the controversial 2024 event, which saw a “massive” crowd lead to significant incidents, resulting in a small number of attendees receiving medical attention. An official investigation was launched by the council after the event.

The police described it as an “isolated incident” and confirmed that none of the injuries were considered serious.

Following the incident, Boardmasters received permission to increase venue capacity to accommodate around 58,000 people this year. Devon & Cornwall police reported that 11 individuals were arrested for drug offenses, sexual offenses, and assaults.

This month, Boardmasters announced that next year’s security measures will include a 20% staffing increase for crowd management and enhanced entrance protocols, with more thorough searches and additional security presence throughout the festival.

Other improvements based on attendee feedback include an increase in Wi-Fi hot spots at the venue and campsites, as well as a “quiet” camping area with noise restrictions starting at 11 PM. Further updates will be announced as needed.

Meanwhile, Central Cee has recently revealed details about his world tour for 2025 in support of his highly anticipated debut album “Not Man Rush Greatness,” released this month. In a four-star review, NME stated: “Central Cee manages to avoid being overshadowed by his own mystique, instead sharing the story of how a boy became a man on the global stage. There are no smoke and mirrors; the album captures each step of the journey.”
