Smith’s Official Response
Smith took to her official Instagram account to clarify the situation and provide an update on her well-being. In a selfie taken in what appeared to be a hotel room, she wrote: “This is to let everyone know that I’m alright. An exaggerated account of events is making the rounds on the press and social media.”
She continued, “I experienced a bit of dizziness after a migraine. There was a minor incident, but I left the stage, returned 10 minutes later, spoke with the audience, reassured them that I was fine, and performed ‘Wing’ and ‘Because the Night.’ A fantastic doctor checked on me, and I am absolutely fine. Please do not believe any other story.”
With all the turmoil in the world, this incident does not warrant such attention. Thank you all for your concern. Trust that I’m okay.
