Miley Cyrus Expresses Pride in Her Past “Mistakes” and Embraces Change

Miley Cyrus Reflects on Her Past

Miley Cyrus expressed her pride in her past mistakes and shared insights on what she might change.

The pop star known for “Flowers” had a conversation with Pamela Anderson regarding Giya Coppola’s new film Last Dance, where Anderson plays Shelley Gardner. Cyrus’s recent single “Beautiful That’s” has been recorded for the film’s soundtrack.

Inspiration Behind the Music

While discussing the song, co-authored with Sayirus, Li and Andrew Wayette-Sayrus, Cyrus revealed her childhood aspiration to be a dancer, mentioning that Anderson had inspired her during her formative years.

“When people asked me who I wanted to be when I grew up, I would tell them,” the singer recalled. “All these elements—tattoos, hair, everything—that’s what I wanted.”

Cyrus reminisced about “many paths and different evolutions” in her career, noting, “We can call them ‘bypasses,’ but they ultimately contribute to the next stage of our identity. Something stronger, something more authentic.”

She added that Anderson wished to “let go of everything in her past” and received advice to “bring it with (her).”
