Stevens’ Viral Journey

Stevens first gained viral fame with the song in 2023, which he travels all over the world to promote by plastering for TikTok and Instagram in iconic travel destinations.

Despite facing ridicule from many online, it has found a supporter in the former Black Midi frontman, who has publicly expressed his admiration for the “random” track during an interview on NTS Radio. Since then, he even included a riff during the performance.

On Friday (Jan. 24), Grip took the viral hit further by welcoming Stevens on stage during a concert in Nashville.

Clips from Stevens’ concert show him moving through the crowd as Grip and his band start playing “Straight Angle.” He then approaches the microphone to sing the iconic opening line “I’m rectangular/I feel it in my bones/I’m rectangular/I don’t feel the hole.”
