Rise Against Makes Comeback with New Single “NOD” After Three-Year Hiatus

Rise Against Unveils New Single

Rise Against has released their new single “NOD”, marking their first new music since 2022.

The new track kicks off the “inspired next chapter” for the punk group and was produced by Katherine Marx. “I swear by God, I can't wait,” sings vocalist and lyricist Tim Makilrat atop the song’s choir. “Not a single minute, another day.”

Meaning Behind the Music

“NOD is the consolation that we find in the community,” Makilrat stated in the press release. “We are talking about comfort, knowing that we are not alone. This comfort can distort our anger and our disappointment, at least temporarily.”

Following the 2021 album “Nowhere Generation”, this new single comes after an EP titled “Nig Sessions” that featured live versions of tracks from the album.

Live renditions included songs such as “Talk to Yourself”, “Broken Dreams, Inc.”, the title track from the LP, as well as their rendition of “Savior” and covers of MISFITS’ “Hybrid Moments” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Successful Son.”
